I don’t play this game well. The game where everyone you know at work wants to tell you about all the cool things they did over the weekend first thing Monday morning. I can catch up with people any time. If there really was something worth talking about, then you won’t have forgotten it by Wednesday, and if there wasn’t, then I don’t need the commentary.

Monday morning is a somber occasion, a small, recurring death of spirit as you return to the false life you must lead to sustain yourself when you actually are allowed to live. Let me mourn in peace.
