New Hotness

Check it. My new MT install went swimmingly. All tendencies toward the anal on backend organization are now satisfied. Deal with this, yo.

Also, comments will be back in as I can add them. The reinstall did not allow for comment export/import.

Eat — Joe’-

On my way home from Racine last night, I noted that the local Ground Round had those stick-on letters in a slightly off-kilter way enticing all passersby to “Join [them] for Sweetest Day”.

I’m not sure if this was an ominous warning to men who thought that (if they remember the Hallmark Holiday at all) Ground Round was even an option how exactly they would be leaving the restaurant (i.e. partially digested after being ground into “round”), or if it were more a message to cannibals who know that the sweetest meat comes from a loved one.

Either way, it was bizarre. World Cafe on NPR throws my mind into strange dimensions, it would seem.

If theology were T-shirts

I’m totally with this, but it’s almost too obvious a viewpoint to be on a T-shirt. Somebody will wear it. Maybe Jesus.

from stuct.com, the younger cousin of T-shirt Hell (my personal costumer), who totally smoked a cigarette once.

Where does Blogging fit?

More Seanbaby advocacy, despite my better judgment. This tells me where I am in life, considering more than 75% of these activities apply to me, either in present or past tense.

Additionally, Rammstein is much better than the people who listen to Rammstein.

Kill Bill

I don’t know how to review this movie, but I also don’t know how not to review this movie. I’m going to be hearing criticism and praise on all sides, but I want my impression of it to be pure at least in one place.

“Kill Bill” flaunts what is great about American cinema while being an homage to American cinema’s past and still appeals to those who consider American Pie to be cinema.

You don’t have to read the rest. There are spoilers. Not ruining ones, but some people are purists. I’ll complain about that later.

Swoon!

No skill at poetry? Can’t ballroom dance? Still want to woo that perfect lady? Why not send a cow to Ethiopia?

The brilliant Seanbaby researches advice for those whose romantic wellspring has dried up. Or more likely in this case, been poisoned by some dastardly fellow.

Fueled by Satan

In a coincidence that would no doubt please the master of the hoary nether regions who allows Jack Black to rock so hard, School of Rock currently has 666 votes on imdb.

Your time better spent

Honestly, I have things to say. Right now, I’m concentrating on the new design which should be up next week. After that, I’m going to do a Mon./Fri. regular update, with little things in between. No, really. I’ve got it written down.

So, for the nine of you who read this regularly: you will receive your ring, black cloak, and weird, winged dinosaur thing that makes noises like a dying porpoise in the mail just around Christmas.

If, somehow, you missed THIS happening…

And for the record, I’m going to be starring as the outcast from nerd society in “Revenge of the Nerds 7: Some people are just NERDS” opening next summer.
