Better, stronger, faster, and with more PHP.

Steelbuddha the writer is on a short hiatus while Steelbuddha the site goes WordPress.

Wish me luck. And short means a few days, so the three of you will hardly notice.

Meme too! Oh, I’m going to be sick…

From the always impressive leptard, whose blog I discovered through…aw, take a guess. Not my fault that she’s the hub of the meme-iverse.

1. Grab the nearest CD.
2. Put it in your CD-Player (or start your mp3-player, I-tunes, etc.).
3. Skip to Song 3 (or load the 3rd song in your 3rd playlist)
4. Post the first verse in your journal along with these instructions. Don?t name the band, nor the album-title.

You walked all over, in your blunderstones
In your own road movie, with your one armed man
Gonna make it to the problem page
Trouble-shoot your life
Gonna make it to the problem page
Need some time and space
Just to find yourself.

I kind of wish I could post the chorus as that’s the part that attracts me to the song, but rules are rules and I am nothing if not a complete thrall to the edicts of others. Thank you, leptard, for revealing to me what meaningless rotes my days amount to. I think my newly discovered Nietzchean outlook equates to you owing me a beer when you get to the states.

p.s. only kidding.

p.p.s. except for the beer part.

And speaking of humour from long ago.

Hand-delivered by Czelticgirl is this little ol’ piece of greatness written by Harvey Pekar about Bill Hicks. Doesn’t get much better than that, folks.

Am I the only one who thinks that Bill Hicks’ entire collection should be given to every high school student upon graduation?

When in drought, post links.

This smokescreen of funny will keep you reading long enough for me to be bitter again, I promise.

The reel truth, from Wannabe Giant, who never posts anymore. Too cool to blog, B-rock?

Does Chipotle frighten you? You are not alone. Go to the 16th of April and listen around. This is probably the most genius one can post on the web by law. Bjorn, take note. This could be you, and you could ascend.

And finally, nothing is more surefire comedy than monkeys in hats.

Those last two stolen remorselessly from the mighty research girl herself.

More fighting, only cooler.

If anyone can think of something cooler than a Bruce Lee fight remixer complete with music and stylized type of goofy kung fu lines, then that person can collect several hundred words of praise from me gratis. Seriously, that just oozes cool.

From Linus, and not Czelticgirl.

No one will ever call me prolific.

Today my regulars (over there on the right) are littered with incredibly entertaining blog entries, while I have nothing to say but this:

One of the many brilliant things to come out of Boy on a Stick and Slither.

Smell that? That’s change.

This steelbuddha thing had its merits, to be sure, but an online moniker needs to be closer to the personality behind it. Although I’ve got the makings of a buddha forged from iron alloys, I think it more appropriate that you all refer to me by my newly realized pseudonym, Whiskers Merryweather.

By the by, rumandmonkey.com is simply the most perfect domain name I’ve heard to date.

But really, I’m just a shadow of my formerly magnificent machismo.

From alfalfa martini:

Are these trees also dangerous?

tree shadow
You are a forest shadow. Your essence is that of the tree or beast that casts you upon the earth. You feel a purpose to be in balance with the cycles of life and are wise and beautiful in your submission to the justice of Mother Nature. You are peaceful in nature and, though you feel small, your spirit is precious, strong, and mighty as the (green)forces with which it is affiliated.

Um. Sure, I am. That’s what I get for taking those, then.
